Nuestra Misión / Our Mission
Founded in 2022, the Patiloni Collective's mission is to help community members from South Mountain and throughout the Valley of the Sun to achieve holistic health and well-being through reclaiming, reviving, and reconnecting with their ancestral healing arts and traditional medicines.
La misión del Colectivo Patiloni, fundado en 2022, es ayudar a los miembros de la comunidad de la Montaña del Sur y de todo el Valle del Sol a lograr una salud y un bienestar holísticos mediante la recuperación, la reactivación y la reconexión con sus artes curativas ancestrales y sus medicinas tradicionales.

The Patiloni Collective envisions and works towards a world in which all people thrive in equity, holistic health, loving kindness, and wellness.

Nuestro Enfoque / Our Approach
We take a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, addressing not only emotional, environmental, mental, physical, relational, and spiritual wellness, but also the underlying causes and contributing factors. As complementary medicine practitioners, we work closely with allopathic biomedicine experts to ensure our mutual success in serving the health and wellness needs of our communities.
Adoptamos un enfoque holístico de la salud y el bienestar, abordando no sólo el bienestar emocional, ambiental, mental, físico, relacional y espiritual, sino también las causas subyacentes y los factores que contribuyen a ello. Como profesionales de la medicina complementaria, colaboramos estrechamente con expertos en biomedicina alopática para garantizar nuestro éxito mutuo al atender las necesidades de salud y bienestar de nuestras comunidades.
Nuestros Logros / Our Accomplishments
In 2023, our first year of programming, the Patiloni Collective served over 250 community members through community pláticas (talking circles); educational workshops (herb walks & medicine making classes); community healing services (cacao ceremonies, sound healing rituals, and limpias, aka traditional energetic cleansings); our Autumn Equinox Celebration; and the 2023 MIKIZTLI Día de los Muertos festival, where we served over 100 people.
In 2024, the Patiloni Collective served at least 300 community members, including over 100 at the 2024 MIKIZTLI Día de los Muertos festival. We gained new members representing African American hoodoo, Jewish traditional medicine, and Yoeme (Yaqui) traditional medicine; our Collective now includes members in New Mexico, Michigan, and the Tucson and Phoenix metropolitan areas. Our greater network of healers (those who are not Patiloni members but are partners in healing and community education) now includes members throughout Arizona, California, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico (especially the annual UNM Curanderismo Class and RAÍCES: Community Education of Traditional Medicine), New York, Texas, Utah, and the Mexican states of Morelos and Oaxaca. We are excited to grow our member and partner networks even more in the coming year!
En 2023, nuestro primer año de programación, el Colectivo Patiloni atendió a más de 250 miembros de la comunidad a través de pláticas comunitarias (círculos de conversación); talleres educativos (paseos de hierbas y clases de preparación de medicinas tradicionales); servicios de sanación comunitaria (ceremonias de cacao, rituales de sanación con sonido, y limpias tradicionales); nuestra Celebración del Equinoccio de Otoño; y el festival del Día de los Muertos MIKIZTLI 2023, en el que atendimos a más de 100 personas.
En 2024, el Colectivo Patiloni atendió al menos a 300 miembros de la comunidad, incluidos más de 120 en el festival del Día de los Muertos MIKIZTLI 2024. Ganamos nuevos miembros en representación del hoodoo afroamericano, la medicina tradicional judía y la medicina tradicional yoeme (yaqui); nuestro Colectivo cuenta ahora con miembros en Nuevo México, Michigan y las áreas metropolitanas de Tucson y Phoenix. If you practice any form of traditional medicine and the ancestral healing arts, or are interested in learning about holistic healing and reclaiming your own ancestral medicines, please consider joining our healing team! We believe in mutual education and skill sharing, so no matter if you're brand new to your medicine path or have been practicing for decades, we would love to see if Patiloni might be the right fit for you. There is no membership fee or obligation beyond serving the community and supporting each other's healing journeys. All traditional medicine practitioners are welcome, no matter what healing tradition(s) you come from!
Si practicas cualquier forma de la medicina tradicional y las artes curativas ancestrales, o está interesada/e/o en aprender sobre curación holística y recuperar tus propias medicinas ancestrales, ¡considera la posibilidad de unirse a nuestro equipo de curación! Creemos en la educación mutua y en el intercambio de habilidades, así que no importa si eres nuevo en el camino de la medicina o llevas décadas practicándola, nos encantaría ver si Patiloni puede ser la opción adecuada para ti. No hay cuota de afiliación ni obligación alguna, aparte de servir a la comunidad y apoyarnos mutuamente en nuestros viajes de sanación. Guided Sound Journey
Join Patiloni co-founder and curandera Doña Andria Bunnell on Sunday, Nov. 3rd, 2024 from 12:30pm-2pm at Urban Wellness (2024 N 7th St, Phoenix 85006) for a beautiful healing session using the power of sound! Rooted in Mexican curanderismo tradition and incorporating her own beautiful innovations, Doña Bunnell's Sound Journeys are one-of-a-kind guided meditation and healing sessions that help cleanse the physical body of tension, the energetic body of negative energy and vibrations, and the mind of unhelpful distractions or blockages. Attendees regularly report that Doña Bunnell's Sound Journeys help them connect with their ancestors, guides, and highest Selves in a safe and loving environment. Although easily valued at $200/hr in most spa settings, Doña Bunnell offers these sessions at only $35 per person in keeping with Patiloni's mission to make traditional medicine affordable and accessible to all who could use it. Seating is limited, so call or text at (310) 634-2001 to reserve your spot!
Viaje guiado por el sonido
¡Únete a la curandera y cofundadora de Patiloni, Doña Andria Bunnell, el domingo 3 de noviembre de 2024 de 12:30 a 14:00 en Urban Wellness (2024 N 7th St, Phoenix 85006) para una hermosa sesión de sanación utilizando el poder del sonido! Arraigadas en la tradición del curanderismo mexicano e incorporando sus propias innovaciones, las Jornadas del Sonido de Doña Bunnell son sesiones únicas de meditación y sanación guiada que ayudan a limpiar el cuerpo físico de tensiones, el cuerpo energético de energía y vibraciones negativas, y la mente de distracciones o bloqueos inútiles. Los participantes nos informan regularmente de que los Viajes de Sonido de Doña Bunnell les ayudan a conectar con sus antepasados, guías y Yoes más elevados en un entorno seguro y amoroso. Edible and Medicinal Plant Workshops
Join Patiloni co-founder and curandero Jesús Cuauhtémoc Villa for a series of edible and medicinal plant walks and workshops! Held in various urban and wilderness spaces to highlight the stunning diversity of Sonoran Desert edible and medicinal plant life, the walks focus on how and when to find, recognize, traditionally & respectfully gather, and prepare edible and medicinal plants for use. Workshops are usually held indoors and focus on how to make herbal medicines like teas, tinctures, salves, steams, herbal first aid, and more. The Patiloni Collective suggests a $35 donation for each walk and workshop (though we'll always gratefully accept a larger donation); however, we work on a sliding scale and won't turn anyone away! Each walk and workshop lasts two hours; dates, times, and locations vary (keep an eye on our Instagram, website, and newsletters for details).
Paseos y Talleres de Plantas Comestibles y Medicinales
¡Únete al curandero y cofundador de Patiloni, Jesús Cuauhtémoc Villa, en una serie de paseos y talleres sobre plantas comestibles y medicinales! Los paseos se celebran en diversos espacios urbanos y naturales para poner de relieve la impresionante diversidad de plantas comestibles y medicinales del Desierto de Sonora, y se centran en cómo y cuándo encontrar, reconocer, recolectar de forma tradicional y respetuosa, y preparar plantas comestibles y medicinales para su uso. Los talleres suelen celebrarse en el interior y se centran en cómo preparar hierbas medicinales como tés, tinturas, ungüentos, vapores, primeros auxilios a base de hierbas y mucho más. El Colectivo Patiloni sugiere un donativo de 35$ por cada paseo y taller (aunque siempre aceptaremos con gratitud un donativo mayor); sin embargo, ¡trabajamos con una escala móvil y no rechazaremos a nadie! Cada caminata y taller dura dos horas; las fechas, horas y lugares varían (estate atento a nuestro Instagram, sitio web y boletines para más detalles).
